Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Handles 51 Fire Cases from January to March

The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency has noted that they have handled around 51 fire cases in Central Jakarta from January to March.

Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head Asril Arizal said that the burning objects were dominated by houses (14 units), outdoor installation (18 units), public and commercial buildings (5 units), vehicles (2 units), garbage (1 point), and other objects (11 units).

"It is mostly caused by fire (15 cases), electricity short-circuit (40 cases), gas stoves (5 cases), garbage (2 cases), cigarettes (1 case), and other factors (2 cases)," he continued.

He added there were 15 fire cases in January, 13 fire cases in February, and 23 fire cases in March. Then the total area burned was 3,145 square meters.
